I've got two songs that I find are definitively Zuko; both are more mournful then angry, but one hold an edge of rage, where the other is pure longing. (These are also on the Fire Nation over at fst along with several more picks. You can go there, though you must be a member to see anything.

The first song is Blind Guardian's 'Mordred's Song'.

I've lost my battle before it starts
My first breath wasn't done
My spirit's sunken deep into the ground
Why am I alone
I can hear my heartbeat
Silence's all around

See hate will rise
So don't come closer
Fear your child
Born with a king's heart
But fate fooled me
And changed my cards
None asked if I want it
If I like it

Pain inside is rising
I am the fallen one
A figure in an old game
No joker's on my side
I plunged into misery
I'll turn off the light
And murder the dawn
Turn off the light
And murder the dawn

Nothing else but laughter is around me
Forevermore
Noone can heal me
Nothing can save me
Noone can heal me
I've gone beyond the truth
It's just another lie
Wash away the blood on my hands
My father's blood
In agony we're unified

I never wanted to be
What they told me to be
Fulfill my fate then I'll be free
God knows how long I tried to change fate

I plunged into misery
I'll turn off the light
And murder the dawn
Turn off the light
And murder the dawn!!!

It's about another prince with daddy issues, but i find the emotional content rings very true with Zuko as well.

The second song is Kate Rusby and Kathryn Robert's rendition of 'Exile'. Want to turn my poor headvoice instantly soppy? Play this. INSTANT WAH-WAH.

I felt a shadow passing over me
It could stay for ever more
Like a wave I’m breaking far at sea
There’s no-one to hear the roar
The days are drifting into seasons
They’re the hardest I have known
A million spaces in the earth to fill

But no going home
There’s no going home

I can dream before the break of day
That I’m back with you again
Then the morning blows it all away
And leaves an echo of your name
Still a thousand miles lie between us
Where we’re waking up alone
And what if I could cross a hundred borders

There’s no going home
There’s no going home

When it thunders from the empty skies I shall be there
No one to hold you when the storm birds fly
Is there no one left to care

I search the rumours with my hollow plans
When all I want is what’s mine
Lost and lonely in a foreign land
I’m left too far behind the lines
I want to hear down the walls between us
I can’t do it on my own
A million spaces in the earth to fill
And there’s a generation waiting still
We’ve got year after year to kill

But no going home
But no going home
There’s no going home

ditzy fandomwhore!
